General behaviour
There's one very important rule: Treat your fellow adventurers the way you want to be treated yourself.
Arindal is a world where people from different nationalities meet and interact, work together and have fun. The fact that people speak different languages can easily cause some misunderstandings. It's important to keep in mind that we have players who are 12 years old, and players who are above 50 years old. Be patient to each other!
Any comments that can be seen as insulting, abusive, sexist, racist or homophobic et cetera are not accepted in the game (or on the forum). If you have chosen to play an evil character that swears and is unfriendly to other, be very aware that you are walking on a thin line. Other ways of annoying other players, like having a bot that "toggles" others, constantly talking or publicly thinking "OOC", creating names that can be interpreted as insulting are also not accepted.
Choosing your Character-Name
We are strict with names chosen by you. Please read our policy when you create a new character in the character manager.
Arindal is a fantasy game, we therefore want people to use regular - preferably fantasy - names. Names with numbers (Killer687dead), names that have capitals and lower-case mixed (GreaTfiGhteR), offensive names (LickmyDick) etc will be removed.
All names need to start with a capital. If we see names without a capital, we'll change this name directly.
If there are technical reasons to start your name with a lowercase (for example if your name starts with an i) you need to write a mail to Gyges and give good reasons why the name should start with a lowercase. Note that there need to be good (technical) reasons, ingame arguments like *I'm from an Azcatl tribe that only uses names starting with lowercase* are not seen as a good reason.
Choose your name with care! All names are stored in a database and name changes are only possible every update. This means that if you play a character with a Bad Name, you'll have to either create a new character with a better name, or wait till an update till you can play this character again.
Don't give yourself titles. They have to be earned. Eg: you might roleplay being a king who got exiled. However, in Arindal, you won't be a king. Roleplay your royalty, but give yourself a common name. Famous Last Words The game masters do have the right to deny access to the game to those who intentionally try to make the game no fun for others, who try to harass others, who intentionally try to hurt others, or who simply try to damage the game, or go against the spirit of the game will be banned without any further warning.
