Wanderers Your character will begin in the Arindal world as a wanderer. Wanderers haven't chosen a profession yet, but can try out the 3 professions by becoming an apprentice. This way, they can try out some very basic abilities of each of the professions. They only have access to some basic trainers. As soon as a wanderer has chosen his profession, he can try to fulfil a quest and become a member of the class of choice.
Healers The healing profession is the most important and honourable in the land. Healers can use their crystals to cure wounds and revive the fallen. Without healers, fighters and mages would have to stay in town, trembling at the mere thought of meeting a monster. healers also have the ability to see the ghosts of those who are close to death, communicate with them and bring them back into the fallen body. While the healers' strength is in their spirit, they can can choose from a variety of trainers to learn abilities that have little to do with healing. They can use a fair amount of weapons and armour.
Fighters The fighting profession the most honourable and important people in the world. Fighters are the brute force in Arindal. They do not use magic, they do not heal others. They attack, or defend. Fighters use their weapons to protect others, hunt the monsters that dwell the world and explore the world. The strength of fighters is in their body. They can choose from different kinds of weapons and armour, and they can train various skills to improve them. Almost all armour and weapons are available to the fighters class.
Mages Mages are the seekers for, and travellers on the mystical paths in Arindal and are concerned with magical arts and knowledge. Mages thrive on challenges and as such, their journey is long, filled with difficulties, hard, often secretive and solitary, and of slow progress. They are not offensive. Mages may be able to open portals to distant areas, offer protection to attacks from monster, awaken crystals and imbue weapons with magical abilities. They have a broad variety of abilities that can greatly extend the abilities of a hunting group. Mages tend to be weak in combat, but highly respected for their knowledge and dedication. The strength of mages is in their mind, but they have access to certain skills that have nothing to do with magic. The stronger they become, the more armour and weapons they'll be able to use.
