 - The usual bugfixes - Wood fits now in the normal bag, any type of wood. - We have a new Town Crier! - New Heler trainers for the third circle!
Most work has been done behind the scenes by a team which is decimated by disease. Stuff like the end-quest, the online account system, the new Newbie system, racial balancing and several area changes.
We do not have a fixed date for the start of the commercial yet, we wish we had. But we are still waiting for important info from third parties. But perhaps you noticed that more GM controlled actions are taking pace, as a warming up for the Great Finale! |

Changes!
Dear players, as the end of this year approaches, so does also the end of the beta period gets nearer. Soon Arindal has to become a paid game. As much as we'd like for Arindal to remain free, we already made quite some costs and bills have to be paid. We are still calculating the monthly costs and will try making the monthly fee as low as we can.
Many things will change in Arindal. Some of these changes will be implemented before the end of the beta-phase, others will be introduced more slowly after the start. Several of these you will see directly after the restart though, like a new town lay-out. other changes will have a bigger impact.
One of these changes is the concept of Arindal as a multilingual game. After some long discussions we have decided that at this moment in time it is better to focus on a German game. As you might have noticed this is by far the largest population in Arindal. In the past we worked hard to make French and Dutch translations. This has always been a time consuming task. Time we could not use to further develop Arindal, or to play quests. Therefor we decided to give French and Dutch translations a lower priority.
Our website here will be primarily in German. This helps introducing new stuff in Arindal because we do not have to translate everything into three languages before we release them. Other languages and info on this site will soon be available again, they will not be updated as fast as the German pages though.
This does not mean that French and Dutch are unsupported now! Only the translations have a lower priority, which gives us more time to be productive. So we can, for example, run more quests. This change does not mean that the only allowed language in the game is now German. What language you speak ingame is your business. There still will be French and Dutch players playing!

What's new in Version 52001? - The Meditation tower has been moved to the town centre. Because the town will change again after the Big Storm this is only a temporary situation. - The OOC area has been moved to the Meditation Tower. The entrance in the Arindal cave will be closed. - New players will be entering town after they have choosen a gender. They can choose their race, skin and haircolours later in the OOC area. As long as they did not do so, they remain cloaked. We're welcoming any feedback about this new system, even if it is not finished yet. - Bugfixes - Irina still waits to be rescued. GM weekend Recently we had a four-dat meeting in Germany and sicussed the future of the game. Many things have been discussed and decided. We have made a good progress in the general planning of things. We'll announce impportant information about our decisions in an InGame meeting as soon as we decided on a timeline. |
